What is Fantasy NESCAC?

Fantasy NESCAC is a platform bringing fantasy sports to the NESCAC. This fall is our pilot season launching with football. We hope to expand to other sports in the future.

How it works

Fantasy NESCAC brings the thrilling and strategic world of fantasy sports to fans of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). Much like its popular counterpart, fantasy football, Fantasy NESCAC offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves deeper into the sports they love by managing their own fantasy teams.

  1. Set Up Your League:

You will begin by forming or joining a league with your friends or family. Each league can be made up of 3 to 8 Fantasy Team managers, setting the stage for friendly rivalries and intense matchups.

  2. Draft Your Team:

Once your league is set up, the commisoner can begin the draft where managers select real-life players from across the NESCAC. Strategy is essential here: Do you pick the top-performing quarterback first or secure a consistent wide receiver? Or do you put you luck on an unknown firstyear? Your choices during the draft can significantly influence your season's success.

  3. Player Roles and Team Composition:

Your fantasy team will consist of various player positions – QB, HB, RB, WR, TE, K/P, OL, DB, DL, LB, FLX . Ensuring a balanced and skilled roster is vital. Remember, a star player can earn you significant points, but strength in all positions can be the key to consistent weekly performance.

  4. Weekly Performance and Scoring:

Each week, managers set their lineup, choosing which players will "start" and which will be on the "bench." Players in the starting lineup earn points based on their real-life game performances, such as touchdowns scored, yards gained, or field goals made. Bench players don't contribute to the weekly score but can be rotated in for future games.

  5. Trades and Transfers:

As the season progresses, managers can trade players with other teams in their league or pick up free agents to bolster their roster. This adds a layer of strategy – you'll need to keep an eye on players' form, upcoming matchups, and potential sleepers that other managers might have overlooked.

  6. Engage and Enjoy:

Fantasy NESCAC isn't just about winning. It's about immersing yourself in the NESCAC world, understanding players, predicting outcomes, and sharing these experiences with friends. It’s a season-long journey filled with highs, lows, surprises, and unforgettable moments.
